Most modern diets require rigid and restrictive food regiments that fail to recognize your individuality and therefore, are difficult to maintain long-term. Such temporary solutions do nothing to help you sustain permanent health and happiness nor do they support the body’s instinctive ability to reach balance. A holistic approach to your health addresses the importance of bio-individuality.

Women’s 4-Month Holistic Health Group Program: Food and Guilt-free Self-Care! Marissa McMillin, Certified Holistic Health Counselor, AADP

This program includes:

  • Initial individual 45-minute phone consultation to get a sense of client’s specific health concerns and priorities
  • Eight 2-hour group meetings (we will meet bi-monthly for four months)
  • Discussion of clients’ progress and informational lectures on specific health topics according to clients’ needs/goals
  • Food and Primary food recommendations and action steps
  • Your own binder with handouts, recipes and cooking tips
  • Healthy living materials and food tastings
  • A health food store tour of Whole Foods (to be arranged during one session)
  • Meditation/relaxation/breathing techniques and exercises
  • Online group forum and email support throughout the program

By bringing awareness to the connection between how you eat and how you feel, your physical health will strengthen and you will begin to notice improvements in other areas of your life such as your work, your relationships and the way you take care of yourself. Your natural inclination will shift towards foods and activities that make you feel better, and you will make time in your life for those things that truly inspire and nourish you.

This is not a program about change; it is about transformation. Each session builds on the last. As a group, we will address the different dietary theories and guide you through food experiments that help you tune in to the right foods for you. My goal is to inspire you to be your own health expert! In order to do that, we will be uncovering how to:

  • Eat more healthfully without feeling restricted or deprived
  • Understand why you crave certain foods at certain times
  • Build your intuition around your individual nutritional needs and find a comfortable weight
  • Cook healthy food without sacrificing flavor and save money eating in
  • See your relationship to food as an extension of other areas in your life
  • Practice uncompromising self-acceptance by finding space for yourself within yourself
  • Discover what is keeping you stuck and getting unstuck
  • Get connected to your body with yoga, relaxation and breathing exercises
  • See the importance of healing emotional wounds
  • Develop deeper connections with others that allow for your best self to shine
  • Feel completely supported while accomplishing the goals you’ve had for years

Session Dates: September 11 & 25, October 9 & 23, November 6 & 20, December 4 & 11 (8 sessions total)

All Session Time are 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (upstairs)

Price: $100/month with a 4-month commitment OR $360 if paid in full ($40 savings)

Also, $90/month with a 4-month commitment if you join with a friend!
