On any given night, the Stephen Center provides beds for up to 22 single men and 26 or more spaces for women and children depending on family make-up. Additional men frequently sleep on floor mats. Meals are served seven days a week to those staying at the Stephen Center. The Emergency Shelter is available to men, women and children on an emergency basis from a few nights to two weeks or longer depending upon the situation. Case management services are provided. With an open door clean/sober policy in place, Stephen Center volunteers are ready to serve more than 100 meals on any given night. Often this number is exceeded! There is also a HERO Program for recovering homeless men and women with a co-occurring diagnosis and a Transitional Living Program.
Globally: C.A.R.E. www.CARE.org
